WARRANTY POLICY FOR DOMESTIC APPLIANCES 

Philips warrants its products for a specific period after the date of purchase. Defects due to faulty materials and workmanship will be repaired or replaced at the expense of Philips, if a valid proof of purchase is provided within the qualifying period or serial number. Use of unauthorized replacement parts will void this warranty. The user should strictly adhere to all instructions included in the user manual and should abstain from any actions or uses that are deemed as unnecessary or which are warned against in the user manual. If the product is used within a country where use is not intended, voltage conversion may be necessary. Philips cannot be held responsible for powering failures due to improper voltage supply to the appliance. 

All of Philips products are designed and manufactured to the highest standards and deliver high-quality performance, ease of use and ease of installation. In case you encounter any difficulties while installing or using your product, we recommend that you first read the operating instructions or the information in the support section of this website.

B. Warranty term 

Products are distributed directly by Philips or Philips distributors in Vietnam market. 

The warranty is 2 years from begins on the date of purchase but not exceed 36 months from serial/production date and expires at the end of the period indicated above. A valid proof of purchase (POP) or serial number is required. In case the retailer is unknown or gift, the warranty period will apply based on serial number/production date by authorized service center has started six months after the date of manufacturing, indicated on the product or as derived from the serial number of the product. The Philips warranty applies when the product has been handled properly for its intended use and was used in accordance with the operating instructions. 

International worldwide warranty applied the same term. Consumers only show the purchase invoice for warranty. 

If you need repair service but lost your proof of purchase, your warranty period is determined by our Authorized Service Center will check and assess after an assessment including product condition, product age, usage time and so on and provide repair service with charge. C. What is excluded? 

The warranty does not cover indirect or consequential damages (including but not limited to loss of time, loss of data or loss of income), nor compensation for activities done by yourself, such as regular maintenance, installing firmware updates or saving or restoring data. 

The warranty excludes, or does not apply if: 

The proof-of-purchase, serial number has been altered in any way or is made illegible. 

The model number, serial number or production date code on the product has been altered, removed or made illegible. 

The product was purchased as faulty stock. 

 Repairs or product modifications have been carried out by unauthorized service organizations or persons. 

The defect is the result of excessive use outside the intended purpose. 

The defect is caused by abuse of the product or by environmental conditions that are not in conformance with the user manual of the product. 

The unit has been damaged, including but not limited to damage by animals, lightning, abnormal voltage, fire, natural disaster, transportation or water (unless the user manual expressly status that the product may be rinsed). 

Normal wear and tear, or accessories or replacement of by their nature consumable parts (e.g. vacuum cleaner bags, or filter cartridges, knife, battery, mop, side brush). 

The product does not function properly because it was not originally designed, manufactured or approved for use in the country where you use the product, which might occur when you imported the product. 

D. Support 

In order to avoid unnecessary inconvenience, we advise you to read the user manual carefully and/or consult the support section of this web site before contacting your dealer or Philips. To obtain service within the warranty period please contact the consumer contact center via one of the contact methods indicated on this web site or authorized service center. When your product is no longer within warranty, in some countries you can contact the nearest authorized service center directly. If available, you can find the addresses of the service centers on this website. 

To be able to help you efficiently when you contact Philips or its service partners please have available: 

The product type- or model number (also sometimes called model ID) 

The proof-of-purchase (e.g. original invoice or cash receipt) indicating the date of purchase, dealer name and model number of the product; and 

The product serial number or production date code as specified on the product. 

The model number, the serial number or production date code (if available) can be found in the battery compartment or on the back or bottom of the product. 

E. Limited warranty 

Philips hereby guarantees to the original retail purchaser (“Consumer” or “You”) that its Domestic Appliances products (“Products”) are free from defects in material, design and workmanship under normal use in accordance with the operating instructions and pursuant to the following terms and conditions. 

The warranty period for the Product extends to two (2) years for Domestic Appliance products from the date of purchase of the Product, as documented by valid proof of purchase. IMPORTANT – you are required to show warranty card and valid proof of purchase (Invoice if required), which must identify dealer’s stamp, the location of purchase, date of purchase, product model and product serial number clearly. Products returned without valid proof of purchase or which proof of purchase has been altered or made illegible or warranty card shall be excluded from the limited warranty. 

 During the warranty period, Philips or its authorized service provider will repair, free of charge, parts and modules of a materially defective Product with new or refurbished parts and return such Product to the Consumer in working condition. Philips will retain defective parts, modules or equipment.

 - Repaired or replaced Products will be covered by limited warranty for the balance of the original limited warranty period. 

- A diagnosis charge will be levied, if it is found that the Product is not defective due to the following: 

  • No power because power plug is not plugged in or switched on or no power at power points. 

  • Usage of wrong electrical supply/voltage. 

  • Product is found to be tested within product specifications (i.e. defect not found). 

F. This limited warranty does not cover 

 Claims for loss of use or inconveniences due to any malfunction, damages caused by lightning, water or other liquid intrusion, fire, flood, accident, negligence, misuse or improper handling/operation. 

Product that has been damaged due to installation, repairs, alteration or modification by unauthorized service organizations or persons 

Product with model name, serial number or production number removed, altered, is illegible or appears different from the Product type certified 

Defects or parts requiring replacement due to ordinary wear and tear, corrosion, rust or stains, scratches, dents on the casing or paintwork of the Product. 

Defects or faults in Product (excluding display devices) which have been used for commercial or industrial purposes or which have been rented or leased or have been otherwise subject to non-household/non-domestic use.
